Guardians Picnic | June 2026

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our elders for another special Guardians gathering! While our first two gatherings focused on sharing important information, we want this next chapter to be all about joy, relaxation, and pure togetherness. Our community has walked through some heavy moments and experienced recent losses lately, and we want to take this opportunity to lean into one another, find comfort in our connection, and uplift the incredible elders who anchor us.

This is a true intergenerational celebration, bringing together three generations—children, parents, and grandparents. For all the years our elders have poured into us, protected us, and supported us, this afternoon is our chance to give back to them and surround them with our love and appreciation. We invite the whole family to join us at Sanad Sanctuary for a beautiful afternoon filled with fun activities, a shared lunch, and a peaceful outdoor walk. Let’s gather to honor our guardians, nurture our roots, and remind one another of how much we have to be thankful for.

A Note of Gratitude for our Partners Islamic Relief USA

Our Guardians program is funded through the Islamic Relief USA Small Grants Program, which we have successfully secured for three consecutive years. This upcoming gathering marks our third event for the current cycle 2025-26. The final Guardians event under this grant year will take place in August 2026. We are deeply grateful for IRUSA’s continued partnership and look forward to growing and expanding this work together.
