Live Event is Over
Sanad Trust Community Dinner & Annual Keynote 2022
June 4, 2022 @ 7:00PM — 8:30PM Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Onward & Upward
Join Br. Rehan Mirza and Sh. Yahya Rhodus as they provide an update on the work of the Foundation and inspire us to build great things in our lifetime.
UPDATE [06/03/2022]:
Our on-the-ground Community Dinner and Annual Keynote, scheduled for tomorrow at Long Key Nature Center in Davie, FL is now an online-only event.
We were informed this morning that Broward County Parks has mandated that all events/reservations on the ground at their parks be canceled due to inclement weather from the approaching tropical storm.
Because we didn’t want to lose any momentum for tomorrow's event (we were expecting a sold-out event!) we have moved the program entirely online.
Be a part of the conversation with Sh. Yahya Rhodus and Br. Rehan Mirza as they discuss the shared concerns we have for our family, children, and community.
The event will be live-streamed on the event page tomorrow, June 4th at 7:00 pm at www.sanadtrust.org/keynote2022.
We hope to see you online tomorrow!
---
We are excited to welcome you to our Annual Keynote 2022. It's been two years since we were last able to share with the extensive Sanad Trust donor community together. Since then I am sure you have seen our work and noticed our progress. I hope you join me in my belief, that more than ever, we have the best-designed services, the greatest goals, and the most capable team we’ve ever had. We’re feeling good, and are ready to take things to the next level this year. The Community Dinner and Keynote address is not a fundraising event. We just want to thank you and share our vision forward with you.
We'll share our plans for the following areas:
Property Acquisition and Capital Development
For the past 10 years Sanad Trust Foundation has patiently, responsibly, and independently, strived to build a model of education and institution-building that holistically reflects the Light of Allah and the Love of His Beloved Messenger (peace be upon him). We have doubled the number of children, families, and community members we serve AND the square footage of our leased locations every 3 years!
Now, a primary goal of our ‘next ten-year’ agenda is moving into our forever home. A location that would be a hallmark for our community and a flagship destination. This facility will be home to Sanad Prep Education, our Wellness and counseling services, a meeting place for the Community and our Sanad Guardian Elders. It will have ample and well-built indoor sport and recreation space for children, women, and men… a library, bookstore, cafe… income-generating meeting space, and… of course an intimate space for gathering in the remembrance of Allah and praise of His Messenger (peace be upon him). And, it will set the precedent for a national network of education, wellness, and community spaces for Muslims in North America
If you are interested in being a part of this vision in any capacity, we extend a hand and welcome you to be part of this journey with us insha’Allah.
Building the Most Impactful and Responsible Philanthropic Partnerships (Ever)
Donor fatigue and laziness on the part of how organizations ask for support are symptoms of a lack of sincere accountability, low standards and expectations, and financial negligence. Sanad Trust Foundation is inspired to have the most ethical and impactful relationship with our donors — large and small. We have an outstanding opportunity to do good and to have a huge impact on the world. Become a partner with us. For large and/or out-of-state donors we are happy to discuss, travel, and present our vision and develop a giving plan.
Becoming New-Thought Leaders in Education, Wellness, and Community Development
We are constantly evaluating the efficacy and effectiveness of our programs and services. This, to ensure they are improving and always the best version they can be. We are also investing time in writing about what we learn in the process, especially on topics related specifically to our scope of work, knowledge, and experience. We hope to launch a new series of blog posts, essays, and maybe even a video series on our journey and growth as an organization. As a result of this constant evolution and innovation, we were included in the 100 Most Innovative Global Muslim Startups to Watch in 2022 by the Center for Global Muslim Life.
Finally, on behalf of our entire team, I want to express a big Thank You for your continued support. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for telling a friend about us. Thank you for giving us a chance to serve. Thank you for your naseeha, which makes us better. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to do what we do, and we're committed to doing it as well as we can.
I look forward to welcoming you alongside my dear friend Shaykh Yahya Rhodus on June 4th, 7p, ONLINE.
Sincerely,
Rehan Mirza
